Pay transparency report

How many job listings say what the job pays — counted from employers' official job boards on 2026-10-23.

59%of 3,430 employer listings publish pay
63%in states with a pay-in-postings law (2,214 listings)
55%in other states (799 listings)

How this is counted. Open listings on JoRoute from employers' own job boards (federal USAJOBS listings are left out: they always state pay). A listing counts in a state when its own location text names that state; one listing can count in several states, and listings that only say "Remote" are in the national figure but no state. "Publishes pay" means the board gives a pay amount. This describes JoRoute's listings, not every job in the US, and does not show whether any employer follows any law.
