Pay not published. Illinois requires many employers to include pay in job postings (Equal Pay Act amendments (pay scale and benefits in job postings) ). California requires many employers to include pay in job postings (Labor Code § 432.3 (pay scale in job postings) ). Whether a law covers this employer and job depends on its rules — JoRoute does not decide that. You can ask the employer for the pay range before you apply. Pay transparency report

About the Role
Uber Freight connects shippers with carriers, revolutionizing how goods move across the globe. Logistics is an intricate physical and digital ecosystem where minutes and timing equate to millions of dollars. We are looking for entrepreneurial Product Managers who thrive in ambiguity, love tackling multi-sided marketplace challenges, and possess the drive to build platforms that deliver measurable customer and business value at scale.
As a Product Manager at Uber Freight, you will own a critical domain across our ecosystem—spanning AI & algorithmic optimization, marketplace liquidity and integrity, financial systems, or shipper/carrier experiences. You will partner with engineers, data scientists, designers, operations teams, and commercial stakeholders to translate complex logistics problems into scalable products and step-change business outcomes.
What You'll Do
• Define Product Vision & Strategy: Own the end-to-end vision, strategy, and roadmap for a core product area. Translate complex logistics realities and market shifts into actionable hypotheses, clear milestones, and prioritized execution.
• Customer Obsessed: Empathize deeply with our dual-sided ecosystem—carriers, drivers, enterprise shippers, and internal operators. Run through walls to eliminate user friction, obsessing over defect data and building solutions that earn long-term trust.
• Be in the Arena: Tackle the hardest, most ambiguous problems in transportation and supply chain. Step up to make high-conviction decisions with incomplete data, take calculated risks, and embrace accountability for the outcomes.
• Win as One: Build bridges across cross-functional partners in engineering, data science, operations, marketing, sales, and legal. Seek input broadly, align divergent goals, resolve dependencies, and ensure the entire team moves in unison to deliver shared wins.
• Move with Urgency: Operate with a default-to-action mindset. Accelerate discovery, prototyping, and validation by integrating modern AI tooling into daily workflows, balancing rapid iteration with thoughtful architecture.
• We Raise the Bar: Hold yourself and the team to the highest standard of execution. Uplevel team effectiveness, mentor and elevate peer PMs, and drive step-change improvements across key marketplace, financial, and efficiency metrics.
• Communicate with Radical Clarity: Present roadmaps, tradeoffs, investment decisions, and analytical findings with precision and transparency to audiences ranging from frontline dispatchers to executive leaders.
Minimum Qualifications
• 4+ years of Product Management experience building, scaling, and managing software products throughout the full product lifecycle.
• Data-First Problem Solving: Proven ability to query, structure, and analyze large-scale datasets independently (proficient in SQL) to uncover insights, audit defects, and validate hypotheses.
• Cross-Functional Execution: Demonstrated track record leading multi-disciplinary teams (engineering, UX/design, data science, and business/operations) through roadmap delivery and system launches.
• Strategic & Analytical Rigor: Experience taking complex business, financial, or operational constraints and synthesizing them into a cohesive product strategy with quantified ROI.
• Executive Presence: Strong written and verbal communication skills with comfort presenting strategies, justifying tradeoffs, and pushing back constructively on leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience building within two-sided marketplaces, freight/logistics networks, enterprise SaaS, or B2B fintech/financial systems.
• Experience collaborating with Data Science on machine learning, predictive modeling, reinforcement learning, or operational research platforms.
• Hands-on application of modern AI technologies (e.g., LLMs, reasoning models, prompt/context engineering, or agent orchestration) to redesign workflows or build customer-facing intelligence.
• Expertise in marketplace experimentation design (e.g., switchback testing, synthetic controls, cluster-based randomization) to measure network effects.
• Comfort operating at the intersection of high-growth technology and boots-on-the-ground physical operations.
