In 2022 I analysed our software subscriptions and found 140 licences that nobody had used for 90 days. I pulled the data from the admin consoles into one sheet and checked each one with the team leads. After I cancelled 110 licences with the team leads and moved 30 to people on a waiting list, costs fell by about $48,000 a year, which finance confirmed in the next budget. Data and analysis like this is routine for me. I now run the same review every quarter.
